For press and partners
This page collects the facts a journalist or a prospective partner needs, so you do not have to ask us for them first. Everything here is something we can verify; where we have nothing to show yet, we say so.
The basics
| Name | Golf Profiler |
|---|---|
| URL | www.golf-profiler.com |
| What it is | A free golfer personality quiz: 32 questions, about five minutes, 16 types across four axes |
| Launched | 2026-07-19 |
| Languages | Japanese and English |
| Price | Free. No account needed to read the type descriptions |
| Run by | The editorial team “Golf Psychology Lab” — see about the author |
How the quiz works
Each of the four axes is measured by 8 questions, and the four resulting letters form the type code.
| Axis | Letters |
|---|---|
Full scoring detail — points per option, thresholds, how ties resolve, and what we have not validated — is public on the methodology page. The 16 type descriptions are at the types index.
Please do not describe it as a psychological test
Golf Profiler is a self-understanding tool, not a validated psychological instrument and not a medical diagnosis. We would be grateful if coverage did not describe it as one. We also have no evidence that any type scores better than another, so please avoid framing a type as an advantage.
MBTI is a registered trademark of a separate organisation and our quiz is unrelated to it. Our four axes were designed independently for golf.
Numbers we have not published
We have not published user counts, completion counts, or the distribution of types, and we will not supply them informally either. The service launched recently and the numbers are small enough that a distribution would not mean anything; publishing one would invite conclusions the data cannot support. When the sample is large enough to stand behind, we will publish it here.
If your story needs a number from us, please ask — we will tell you plainly whether we have it.
Citing and screenshots
- Quoting from our articles and type descriptions within the bounds of normal quotation is fine. Please name Golf Profiler as the source and link to the page you quoted.
- Screenshots of the quiz and of public type pages may be used in coverage. Please do not use screenshots of an individual's saved result.
- Reproducing a whole article, the question set, or the scoring tables goes beyond quotation — please contact us first.
- Please do not alter the logo or the type names.
What we are looking for
- Interviews and coverage about golf and the mental game, personality tendencies, or how players differ in how they practise.
- Working with coaches, schools, practice ranges and golf-related services — for example, using the type framework in lessons or in how a service explains itself to golfers.
- Feedback from coaches on whether the type descriptions match what they see in real golfers. We would genuinely like to hear where they do not.
We do not buy or exchange links for SEO purposes, and we do not accept paid placements that are not disclosed as advertising.
